Before co-founding NV2A in 2016, Mr. Arellano was the Chairman of OHL-Arellano Construction Co., a full-service construction management and general contracting company based in Miami, Florida with offices in Orlando and Aruba. He was the driving force behind the company for more than 42 years.
He served as President from the company’s inception in 1974 through December 2013 and was responsible for the overall corporate strategy, as well as providing leadership and building consensus. Under Mr. Arellano’s leadership, the company grew to a $250 million a year contractor. He remained an integral part of the organization after the OHL Group acquired it in 2008.
Mr. Arellano was the point of contact and maintains strong relationships with long list of clients that includes Baptist Health, University of Miami, Florida International University, Jackson Health Trust, and the Bacardi Group.
He received a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University and holds a Certified General Contractor license in the State of Florida.
He is a very active member of the local community. Mr. Arellano serves on the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and the FIU Foundation boards, and is currently a member of the Orange Bowl Committee. Additionally, he is former President of the Riviera Country Club, former Trustee of Ransom Everglades School, and served on the Mercy Hospital Foundation for ten years.
Agustin lives in Miami, Florida with his wife of 45 years, Tete. They have three children and eleven grandchildren.
